let's kick stress to the curb
together!!

Stress is a major part of all of our lives. At times, it takes over our lives, our health and our peace of mind. With a lot of the troubles in the world, stress is inevitable. However, we can learn how to manage our stressors in many ways. Here are a few different types of foods that can help reduce stress!

  • SALMON---this fatty fish is high in Omega-3 and helps us to focus.
  • EGGS---Eggs contain an amino acid called Tryptophan which helps make serotonin. You may have learned that serotonin is a brain communicator that helps balance our sleep, mood and behavior.
  • DARK CHOCOLATE!!! If you need a reason to each chocolate, stress is one. Dark Chocolate contains flavonoids which helps improve blood flow.
  • CHAMOMILE---Utilized as a calming tea, it's used to help manage anxiety. So, before that big meeting with your boss, grab a cup of hot chamomile tea.

let's build healthy relationships
together!

Marriage is fun, exciting and beautiful. Maintaining a healthy marriage and attempting to stay happy for both parties, takes a lot of work. Do you agree? If a couple could just stay in a bubble their entire marriage with just the two of them, our divorce rates wouldn't be so high(50%). Unfortunately, we can't just run away to an island and live in that bubble. We have in-laws, children, work and additional responsibilities that must be incorporated into the marriage. Let's admit, adding more variables outside of just the two can add complications. Here are a few helpful tips to maintain a healthy relationship.

SELF-CARE---Take individual time with yourself. Show yourself love and fill up your energy cup.
APPRECIATE---Tell, but mainly SHOW each other how much you appreciate the hard work that your partner is putting into the relationship.
CHERISH---Women like to feel cherished. Cherish her and do your part in helping her feel like she is the best thing walking this earth.
RESPECT---Men like to feel respected. Some men carry a lot of stress and pressure just by making sure the family has a roof over their heads. Respect him and he will feel like the king he really is.
FORGIVE!!!! Forgiveness is a process but in a marriage it is an ongoing process. Practice this daily in your relationship to keep clear of resentment and built up anger. Realize that we are only human and most times, your spouse is doing the best that they can. FORGIVE.
